Summary
Mark Spitz remembers Last Night, the slang term signifying the last night before the plague took over the world and killed off almost everyone. Mark Spitz’s last night was spent at a casino with his childhood friend, Kyle. They had spent several days at the casino, and after a gnawing sense of fatigue and unfulfillment, they retreated back to their homes in Long Island, New York. The traffic was horrendous on their way home. After dropping Kyle off, Mark Spitz walked into his parents’ house, the only home he had ever lived in. Mark Spitz went into his parents’ room to tell them he was home, and saw his skel mother eating his father’s face.
