Summary
In “Monday, February 6: Minus Six Days,” Jack borrowed a cell phone from Hel to start letting people know what had happened to Gabe. She called his parents, but they did not answer the phone. Next, she called Cole Garrick, Gabe’s best friend from grade school. Cole was shocked, especially when she told him she thought Gabe had been killed in a hit. He told Jack he would help her in any way that he could.
Detective Sergeant Habiba Malik contacted Jack to return to the police station for more questioning. Hel was angry with Jack when she asked if the lawyer was meeting Jack at the police station and Jack admitted she still had not called anyone. While Jack was waiting in line in the lobby of the police department, she could not help but notice the security failures...
