Summary

In “Saturday, February 4: Minus Eight Days,” Jacintha “Jack” Cross was doing what she did best, physically testing the building that housed Arden Alliance insurance. Her work included breaking into the building, dropping USB drives to see if workers would pick them up and plug them into their computers, breaking into the building’s server room, and testing the various safety precautions put in place by the company.

Gabriel “Gabe” Medway, Jack’s husband, communicated with Jack through a Bluetooth ear set as he guided her through the building’s layout. Gabe was also in charge of determining how much of the company’s computer data he could access once Jack accessed the servers.
