Chapters 24-26 Summary
In Chapter 24, Ann comes to the conclusion she must leave the valley. Ann has had dreams of other people, people who need her to come to them and teach them. Ann decides she must leave the valley and search for these people. This decision came after Mr. Loomis left the store door open to trick her into the open. Ann approached the store and became aware of the trap at the last second. Mr. Loomis sent Faro after her. Ann jump Burden creek, causing Faro to fall into it. Faro died later that night.
In Chapter 25, Ann buries Faro under some rocks. Ann then gathers her few remaining possessions and prepares to steal Mr. Loomis' suit. Ann leaves a note for Mr. Loomis, asking him to meet her on the far side of the valley. When Ann sees him leave, she...
