Ellensburg

Ellensburg is the small Washington town where Julie moves with her mother. The area is filled with local shops, but it is more conservative than her hometown of Seattle. She and Sam always dreamed of moving to a bigger city and escaping small-town life together.

Lake

The lake is where Julie goes to find peace and watch the sunset in the days following Sam’s death. She enjoys the quiet and tranquil nature at the lake. She finds refuge from the questioning and cruelty of the other students.
