Summary

Julie returns to school after spending a week at home. The other students ignore her, and nobody asks how she is doing. She sits with Yuki, Jay, and Rachel, a group of international students. Sam’s best friend, Oliver, finds her at the end of the day as she rushes to get home and call Sam. Julie and Oliver had never gotten along, but he asks if they can talk sometimes as nobody else understands what they are going through.

Julie calls Sam once she returns home. He tells her that he knows he is dead, and they will eventually have to say goodbye to each other. She cannot believe he is there, but he assures her that she is not dreaming. Julie does not care how any of this is possible. She feels Sam’s presence and does not want to let...
