Stalking in the Age of Social Media

Although social media can be a great way to share one’s life with friends, it is also a good way for a stalker to get information about a potential victim. As Joe says when he is looking up information about Beck “the Internet was designed with love in mind” (11). Joe means that he can use the Internet to find any kind of information that he wants to about Beck.

The Internet makes getting personal information about people easier and quicker than ever before. Once Joe has Beck’s name, he is able to quickly look up where she lives and find her Twitter feed.
