Summary

In Chapter 1, Grace Reinhart Sachs met with Rebecca Wynne, a reporter from Vogue magazine in her counseling room, to be interviewed about Grace’s soon to be published book. The book, You Should Have Known: Why Women Fail to Hear What the Men in Their Lives Are Telling Them, was unique because it warned women to listen to their intuition about the men they dated instead of falling in love at first sight. Grace believed she had been born with a “predisposition for social observation and insight and reared in an atmosphere of ideas and conversation” (8). She credited herself with being able to see snares people were setting up for themselves in their lives.
