Summary
In Chapter 19, Feyi went into town to have lunch with Pooja Chatterjee and discuss the commissioned piece. Pooja told Feyi that she and her husband had lost their daughter, Keya, to leukemia, and that when she saw Feyi’s work it was clear that Feyi understood the madness of grief. After lunch, Feyi received a call from Denlis, the security guard at the museum, who told her that Nasir making a scene around her work. At the museum, Feyi found Nasir sitting in a chair after he had yelled at people who were viewing her piece that “they wouldn’t be so impressed if they knew what he knew about the artist” (227). Furious, she warned him to never interfere with her work or career again. Nasir appeared surprised and ashamed and finally apologized, specifying that this did not mean they were “cool” (229).
