Summary
The next chapter is titled “Day Minus One Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy-Two, 21:25.” Todd is 13. Jen, Kelly, and Todd are returning home after an Easter Sunday at a village fair. The day has been perfect, and Jen has learned nothing new. The police pull them over for a “random breathalyzing” stop. Jen had barely noticed the first time it happened. This time, she notes that Kelly is angry and throws his wallet in the seat before he gets out. Later, Jen examines the items in Kelly's wallet and discovers that his driver's license is a fake.
