Iris
Iris is the social club where Casey works for the majority of the novel. After moving back to Massachusetts, she begins a service job at the Iris restaurant to cover rent and bills while she works on her novel. Though the restaurant does not pay well, Iris offers Casey a realm in which she feels comfortably distracted from the difficulties of her artistic and personal life. Iris is also the place where she and Oscar officially meet, and establish their connection. Though she is later fired from Iris for an embarrassing outburst, she retains the friendships she made while working at the restaurant.
The Potting Shed
