The End of the World
In the first novel of this series, angels have invaded the world, bringing with them massive natural disasters that have left the survivors devastated. In this novel, the world is beginning to reorganize and fight back. Penryn, a teenager who has befriended an angel, is in the middle of this new world, trying to find a way to help her family while reuniting with her angel.
This novel is a little different from typical dystopian novels because it takes place immediately after the devastating event and no government is yet developed. Small pockets of communities are beginning to form, but most of the humans are vulnerable and under constant attack by the angels.
