Part 1,Purgatory: Chapters 5-8 Summary

In Chapter 5, Shay and Calla discover how the Searchers travel through doors that their Weavers magically create connecting distant places as though they were only a room away. Calla is hesitant to walk through the door Ariadne creates, but is determined to save her pack. On the other side of the door, Calla discovers they have moved from Iowa to Denver in a matter of seconds. When they arrive in Denver, Calla finds that they are at an outpost of sorts where Searchers live to keep an eye on Keeper settlements and to work creating income for the Searchers work.

In Chapter 6, Ariadne weaves another door and this time they step into the mountains surrounding the ski resort town of Vail. Calla is happy to moving into familiar territory and is excited to find her pack, but...
