Summary
Kaniuru claims that Sikiokuu already knew about the deposits and that he has proof. Secretly, Jane Kanyori, Kaniuru’s secretary, has set up an account under Sikiokuu’s names and forged his signature. The Ruler sees Tajirika with new respect because he has managed to acquire dollars. He asks Tajirika what he did with his three sacks of dollars. Too late to change his story, Tajirika sticks to it and explains that he left the bags of money with the Wizard of the Crow. Tajirika now recalls that the Wizard of the Crow told him, while in prison, the exact location of the bags of money that the Wizard of the Crow had buried.
