Summary
Kamiti, the beggar at the dumpsite, returns to his body after his night of seeing the universe. He retrieves a piece of newspaper drifting in the wind, which mentions the Ruler’s plans for Marching to Heaven. He feels dizzy and is overwhelmed by the smell of rot and decay.
