Part 3, Summary
Summer ends, and Roland Deschain and Susan Delgado continue to meet and make love, falling more and more in love. Cuthbert is unsettled, frustrated, and jealous about their relationship and voices his concerns to Alain. One night in Traveller's Rest, Eldred Jonas sits with Kimba Rimer. Clay Reynolds and Roy Depape approach and tell Jonas they think it's time they had a look around the gunslinger's bunks, but Jonas refuses. Rimer also thinks the boys should have moved on to counting horses, but Jonas doesn't think the boys are that sly. Rhea is still angry because the Wizard's Glass refuses to work.
