Chapters 22-24 Summary
Grishanov travels to Hanoi for a meeting at his embassy. He and his superior, General-Lieutenant Yuri Konstantinovich Rokossovskiy, are discussing his progress at the camp. He is making a lot of progress with Zacharias and learning a lot by discussing strategy in terms of a mythical Sino-Soviet confrontation. Grishanov feels he will soon be able to duplicate American strategic thinking. He also feels they can't let the men die; they are too valuable.
Sandy and the Rosens are caring for Doris. She has a variety of physical problems. Sarah agrees with Sandy that Kelly is killing people. They talk about Kelly, and Sarah says he changed after Pam's death and that now they have to help him.
At Quantico, the troops were training using mannequins weighing one-hundred-fifty pounds to represent the prisoners they might have to carry out of Sender Green...
