Chapters 7-9 Summary

A police officer finds Kelly's Scout, with two shotgun blasts through the side and an injured Kelly inside, unconscious. An ambulance transports him to Johns Hopkins, and the physician summoned by the Emergency Room staff is Sam Rosen. He recognizes Kelly's tattoo and takes over his case. When Kelly regains consciousness after surgery, he finds he is in Johns Hopkins and a nurse tells him that he has been shot. It was then that he remembers about Pam. Sam arrives and he tells him the story of what happened. The police question him briefly and then leave.

Pam has been taken and killed by Billy and the drug thugs. Billy says they will dispose of the body later that night and leave her lying in the middle of the floor for the other girls to look at. Her body is later...
