Summary

In Chapter 13, Saba provides a bath with creams and oils. She helps Andromeda bathe, trims her hair, and massages her skin. Andromeda realizes she has come to consider Saba her friend. She is surprised that Saba's shoulder is completely solid. Saba shakes with laughter at one point, but does not make a sound. Andromeda finds Magnus playing a harpsichord, which she has never seen before. She asks if Saba is paid a salary. Magnus says she has access to anything she wants. They discuss the fact that the servants refuse amulets even though Magnus and Esjay have tried to convince them. Magnus wears bells to ensure anyone in the house hears him approaching. He asks Andromeda to turn the pages while he plays. They erupt into laughter when she turns a page the wrong way. Though Magnus wants her to stay with him...
