Summary
That night, Red asks Bongo to untie Samar’s wish as the other animals look on and criticize. After her beak does not work, she uses a paperclip; crows are able to make and use tools. When that fails too, Red and Bongo are discouraged until BigYou offers to try. The branch dips under the raccoon’s weight, but she is able to use both front paws to untie the knot.
When Samar visits that night, Bongo hides. While the other animals distract Samar, Bongo carries the wish to Stephen’s window and taps on the glass. Stephen does not wake up until Bongo makes a loud fire engine siren noise. [A small illustration shows Samar’s wish on the sill.] He finds Samar’s wish.
Moments later, Stephen comes outside, carrying a flashlight. He turns it off when Flash squeals with fear...
