Summary
Chapter 14 begins as Diana talks to Rodney about painting her memory of Isabela. Rodney suggests Gabriel is trying to reach her from a different plane just as Finn was trying to reach her while she was unconscious. Rodney puts Diana on the phone with his psychic sister, Rayanne. Rayanne suggests that Diana got a glimpse of what was waiting for her in the afterlife while she struggled to survive.
Diana visits her mother at the Greens, which she has been doing regularly. Outside Hannah’s porch, over a picnic lunch, Diana talks with her mother about her photography career. She wonders how life would have been if her mother shared like this while Diana was younger.
