Summary

Chapter 5 begins as Diana goes into town in an attempt to figure out how to get more money, as she is not leaving the island anytime soon. She notices that everyone is trading, rather than using cash, and wonders what she can trade herself. Diana then sees a young boy getting bullied. In order to cheer him up, she sketches a portrait of him on the back of a G2 postcard and hands it to him. He returns with fruit for her. Other locals, who saw her sketch, ask her for sketches as well. Diana obliges and trades for clothes and supplies.

Diana receives an email from Finn: he is in poor mental health from dealing with Covid. He wants people to take precautions and wear masks. He has begun to hug dying and scared patients because he is in such a poor emotional...
