Chapters 21-25 Summary

Russ Harper is released from jail and must find a way back home. Once at the gas station, Harper finds that the station is closed because the town is angry with him and someone has flattened his tires. Even the local bar refuses to serve Harper.

Harper goes to see the Iceman at the yellow-haired girl's house. The yellow-haired girl and the Iceman strip search Harper and then tied him up. Harper is taken into the woods, where he confesses to killing his own son after having sex with him. The yellow-haired girl shoots and kills Harper.

Chapter 22 begins with Lucas and Weather enjoying a Sunday morning. Before going skiing, Davenport goes into see the Sheriff and finds out that Harper is missing. There is also no sign of the Schoeneckers. Davenport says that they need to work out the remaining...
