Chapters 11-15 Summary
Davenport goes to Weather's house and just falls asleep when the doctor wakes him as she is getting ready for work. Davenport offers to get out of bed but the sheriff is sending a deputy to escort Weather to work. Weather tells Davenport that John Mueller has not been found and they both know that the boy is dead.
Davenport takes a shower while he mulls over the case. Suddenly Davenport realizes that he has been vain in thinking that people were in danger because of him. It seems unlikely that Father Bergen would be mixed up in a sex ring and suddenly Davenport realizes that he could have been visiting one of the LaCourt's neighbors.
Davenport goes to the sheriff's office and asks about the neighbors. Three of the neighbors are single men. Davenport asks the sheriff if he knows...
