Summary

With Lady Midnight and Medved, Vasya rescues Sasha from the Tartar camp and tells Medved to scare the soldiers while she lights trees on fire. The men, including Chelubey, are scared away. Vasya asks Lady Midnight to take Sasha to safety while Vasya and Medved find Vladimir. They enter the next part of the camp invisible while Pozhar soars overhead. Vasya finds Mamai and uses the rope and a dagger to subdue him. The army brings her Vladimir and Vasya puts out every fire so that Pozhar is the only source of light.
