Summary

A plague arrives in Moscow and Dmitrii tries to quarantine it. It is called a curse of God and people are weary of Dmitrii blocking access to the chapel. The Bear tells Konstantin that he needs to hold a service. However, the priest is beginning to go mad as he realizes he will never be free of the demon. The Bear is surprised by the life in Konstantin’s artwork of Saint Peter. The priests asks the Bear if he will take his soul if Konstantin refuses a request, but the Bear says Konstantin can make life he has never seen and he is too interested to leave.

Konstantin goes to Dmitrii who reluctantly agrees to the service. Konstantin takes the Bear into the sanctuary and feels spiteful toward God as people gather. Afterwards, the Bear...
