Summary
In Chapter 5, the narrator was in the kitchen washing dishes. The girl recovering from surgery was eating breakfast with her visiting boyfriend. Kerrand entered and spoke to Old Park, who called the narrator's name. Kerrand wished to go to the North Korean border and could not rent a car himself because he did not have an international driver's license. The narrator offered to drive him the following Monday. Kerrand went out and the narrator went into his room to clean. She saw some papers in his suitcase and Dunkin' Donuts wrappers in the trash.
In Chapter 6, the narrator was in bed with Jun-oh. He woke and took a picture of her with a Polaroid camera. She thought he looked like a child. She looked at the picture of herself and felt that she looked thin and virtually unrecognizable.
