Belye Nochi
Belye Nochi is the name of the house and the apple orchard on which Meredith and Nina grew up. Anya and Eva still live at Belye Nochi. Meredith puts on the play that causes the divide between her and her mother at the house. When Evan learns he will die of his heart attack, he asks Nina to help him leave the hospital so he can die at home. While Meredith is trying to take care of her mother at home after her father is dead, Anya begins showing signs that she is having flashbacks of her time in the Soviet Union. Because Meredith does not know the things through which her mother had lived, she does not recognize what she is doing.
