Summary

In Chapter 7, Virgil decided to have Nathan stay with his 80-year-old “auntie” (52) while he was out of town. Marie and Virgil argued about whether or not she could come along to Denver. She claimed she knew more about Rick’s activities than Virgil did, and confessed that she had met with Rick at the Depot after she broke up with Virgil. She said that she knew where Rick stayed in Denver and that he obtained his drugs from a street gang called the Aztec Kingz. She indicated that she had some things she wanted to say to Rick. Virgil finally agreed that she could come along.

In Chapter 8, Virgil spoke to Nathan about the reasons for his overdose. Nathan explained that he had been stressed out in school due to being bullied and that he had been given the drugs by “some dudes...
