Summary

In Chapter 13, Win and Kathleen go to his apartment. Win surmised that Kathleen was meeting Ry because she was arrested on several occasion for disobedience at different progressive rallies and she started working a Malachy’s in 1973, not in 1978 as she had said. He also surmised that Kathleen was the person who helped Lake leave. She loved Ry and wanted to eliminate the competition for his affection. Kathleen confirms Win's theory. She knew that he lived at the Beresford, but says that no one else knew his address. She never went inside his apartment because he was too scared to let anyone in.
