Summary

Chapter 1 takes place in Indianapolis. It is the finals of the NCAA tournament and Win’s alma mater, Duke University, is playing South State University. Win is at the game sitting with his friend, Swagg Daddy. While everyone focuses on the game-defining shot, Win focuses on Teddy Lyons, a South State assistant coach. Swagg Daddy, who also attended Duke, diverts Win’s attention when Duke wins. Teddy is gone when Win looks for him again.

Win sees Teddy two hours later. He knew he would because Swagg Daddy helped Win set a trap for Teddy by sending Teddy the wrong address to his after-game party. When Teddy arrives, he sees Win. Win beats him up. Afterwards, Win goes to the party. When the party ends, Win and Swagg Daddy fly to New York in Win’s private jet. Upon arrival, Win goes to...
