Summary
Walt says that, according to something he had heard at work, now is a good time to buy stock in a company called AutVis. The next morning, Sidra buys a large number of shares in the company. However, it soon becomes apparent that AutVis is about to go out of business and that the stock is worthless. Over dinner, Sidra becomes angry at Walt for recommending the stock. Walt says that he had misremembered the name of the company, which was AutDrive, not AutVis. Sidra suddenly loses faith in the possibility of a healthy, long-term relationship with Walt. She asks Walt why they are together, and Walt, offended, hails a cab to go home. Sidra returns to the cheap hotel where she lives, and she plays scales on the piano in her room.
