Summary

In Chapter 18, the guards took Willa to the Hall of the Padaran. No one stood up for her as she was dragged into the room. The padaran entered. There were no other Faeran like him. He was the strongest and most vibrant of them and his skin was a wooden bronze. No one considered him a normal mortal being, but no one knew quite what he was, either.

In Chapter 19, the padaran told the clan that Willa had snuck out on her own and had come back through the forbidden tunnels. He searched her bag and found two human coins.

In Chapter 20, Willa said she had more to offer the Padaran and took out her other bag, which she had hidden with her grandmother. It was full of an immense amount of money. One of the other jaetters, Gredic, stood up and said...
