Summary

The day after Lola's conversation with Oscar, she shows up to meet him at the designated coffee shop where the two siblings embrace and have a long, tearful reunion. In Lola's imagination, the already overweight Oscar has slimmed down without her to cook for him, but in the months Oscar and Mami had been left to worry about Lola, she sees that he has gained even more weight. Oscar apologizes to Lola who looks up to see her mother, aunt and even her drug-addicted uncle spill out of the kitchen and the red-wigged, thin and haggard-looking Mami grabs hold of Lola, furiously cursing her. When Mami raises her hand to hit her, Lola begins running towards the door, pulling Mami with her until Lola bolts and Mami falls down hard onto the curb.
