Wildoak Forest

Wildoak Forest is a large forest in Cornwall near Fred's house. It has a large ecosystem including plants and wildlife. Maggie first becomes interested in the forest when she goes to stay with Fred. Her natural love of nature and Fred's devotion to this patch of woods contribute to her decision of becoming a conservationist as an adult.

Fred's House

Fred's house is called Cherry Tree Cottage. It is near the village of Rosemullion in Cornwall. The house is in a rural area very near Wildoak Forest. The house is old but comfortable from Maggie's perspective. There is a shed where Fred spends a lot of time working on various projects, including inventions. Maggie has a room of her own there. Fred and Maggie spend a lot of their time together in the kitchen.
