Summary
Section 3 continues Lu’s childhood story. Life magazine comes to the school and takes photos of AJ’s class. He and his friends are front and center. Instead of them being on the cover, though, they are in a section talking about sex, alcohol, and drugs. AJ writes his own article about the life of his friends in rebuttal for the local paper. A New York publishing house editor wants him to expand into it into a memoir. His father does not think it is a good idea, but he starts it. He never finishes it, though.
