Section 12: Pages 368 - 398 Summary

Peter tends Magda's injuries, giving her pain killers and rubbing salve onto her neck bruises. They spend the night on board, taking turns talking out the entire situation, beginning with Peter. He tells her about Melissa's rescue and includes the details of his meeting with Kingston and Colin. She denies very little until he gets to the part where she is suspected of killing her husband, and of kidnapping or arranging for the kidnapping of Melissa. She promises him that she will hide nothing from him, and he agrees to the same. When he finishes, he admits that even though he believed she truly was Caliph, he realized that he couldn't kill her.
