Section 6: Pages 171 - 209 Summary
Peter and Magda fly from Zurich to Britain in a Lear jet that Magda piloted the take off and landing in, citing that she needs the flight hours. Magda gives Peter her Maserati to drive, and he becomes aware of a Citroen keeping pace with him. It finally drops back and he convinces himself that he must have been imagining it. He comes over a rise to find a gendarme, flares, and a two vehicle car accident. He slows, and the Gendarme directs him to one side, but he notices one of the bodies under the tarp moving. Suddenly aware it is a trap, he guns the Maserati, but the wet pavement contributes to a delay in responsiveness from it. The car swerves and the gun play begins.
