Summary

Chapter 11 returns to the perspective of Nicky, who had gone to Cillian’s house. Cillian asked her how Flynn was in the aftermath of the robbery and she replied that he had been taken to hospital, surprising Cillian. Nicky was surprised when Cillian revealed that the plan to rob the Pearl had been Sheila’s not Cillian’s. Cillian informed Nicky that the Ferdias had instructed him to bring Nicky with him when he went to hand over the cash. Nicky was unhappy with this request. Cillian reassured her it was a good sign that they wanted her there because it implied they were trying to make sure the meeting didn’t escalate into violence. Nicky reluctantly agreed despite the protests of Cillian’s partner Sara.
