Summary

The next chapter is titled “My Boss Bachelor Pad.” The subtitle reads: “West Hollyweird; 5/18/55.” Jack calls in a panic. Freddy rushes to his bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Jack blathers incoherently until Freddy slaps him. Jack says Janey spent the night in this room two nights ago. He saw on the news that her body was found early this morning. Freddy takes control but knows this is going to become expensive for Jack. He orders Jack to contact the District Attorney. Freddy begins imagining what he will do with the money.
