Next, Min puts in Ed's protractor that she stole from him. Ed uses the protractor to map out his thinking, such as his plan for them to attend both Halloween parties. Then, she puts a metal file from a hardware store in the box. Min tells about her trip to the hardware store to buy it, where she wishes Al were there to consult with, and how Annette rounds the corner of the aisle where Min is.

Annette tells Min that everyone is jealous because she has it all, and she is the one that ended up with Ed. Annette jokingly says Min should prepare to fight off all the girls on Saturday night trying to claw their way to Ed. Min asks Ed how could he at the end of this section.
