Pages 48-69 Summary
As they are waiting for Lottie Carson to come out of the restaurant, Min and Ed go into the novelty shop across the street. They continue talking and Ed uses the word gay to describe something, and then apologizes because he thinks that Al is gay. Min says Al is not gay. Ed says that Min is different from all of the other girls he's dated since she's smart and arty. Ed also points out that she relates everything to movies. Min admits she wants to be a director. Ed says she reminds him of his sister, who was almost a film major at State.
Ed ends up buying a cardboard pinhole camera from the store because they two old twins that run it, tell them to buy something or get out. Min includes the camera in the box she is...
