Thinking about power made me realise that racism was about so much more than personal prejudice.

Importance: Racism is much more than just good or bad people. Racism is embedded into every system that exists. It is best defined as the silent killer. It is not enough that a person is not outwardly racist or hateful because racism manifests itself in subtle ways.
Because we are born into an already written script that tells us what to expect from strangers due to their skin colour, accents and social status, the whole of humanity is coded as white.
