In “Which One of You Is Jesus,” Diski discusses research completed by Dr. Milton Rokeach. His area of interest was belief systems and how people develop and maintain them. He believes that people look to others to confirm what they believe about themselves. When people reject the ideas of what is real from those outside of them, they are referred to as delusional. One of the basic beliefs people hold is about who they are. No other person can be the same person that they are. In order to study this, Rokeach studied three people who all believed they were Jesus.
