Summary

Chapter 10 – As Rich’s conversation with Robin finishes, he becomes aware of a woman nearby – Amy, whom narration soon reveals is the woman with whom Rich had the affair last summer. As Amy continues a conversation on her cell phone, Rich contemplates her wealth (gained from her marriage to a financial manager) and her family life (several children, one of whom had a serious health scare shortly after she and Rich had a sexual encounter in her home). When Amy’s conversation ends, she and Rich banter superficially, and discuss the conference’s annual baseball game, scheduled for the following afternoon. Their conversation concludes with Amy saying that she was fine in her life until she re-encountered Rich.
