Irie believes that she is too fat and constantly obsesses on ways to lose weight and get the English-type figure of her classmates. Irie believes if she begins to look like the girls that Millat spends so much of his time with that he might want to spend time with her as well. Millat has a great number of English girlfriends, each one appearing to be even more turned on by him the more trouble he gets himself into. Irie is terribly jealous and longs to find a way to get his attention. One possibility crosses Irie's mind. She thinks that if she has her hair straightened, she might get his attention that way. Irie goes to a salon that specializes in straightening black women's hair. However...
