Summary
In Chapter 7, Franka fixes the floorboards so that they look undisturbed and calls Werner out on his lies, yet again. He worries about completing his mission and if he can trust Franka. He asks to see photos of her family and afterwards, Franka recounts the rest of her story, again in flashback, uncensored. She no longer cares if Werner turns her in or ends up getting her killed. She recounts her work at the hospital in Munich and the horrors she witnessed there. Franka met Hans who was a student medic at the hospital and he swept her off her feet.
They discussed anything and everything and in 1941, Hans took Franka to a group meeting where they discussed concentration camps and began to take action by writing leaflets, calling their organization the White Rose. They distribute the leaflets for nearly two years before...
