Summary

Harvey took the elevator to the ground floor, where Kristin and Ruby had just arrived. Harvey was momentarily moved when Ruby greeted him. He and Kristin exchanged a few words. Harvey wished "Gabe would just take over" and make them all feel better (24). They sat together with drinks and snacks. Kristin seemed on edge. Ruby was distracted by her phone. Kristin tried telling Harvey about their trip to Ellis Island and the theater, but Harvey was not listening. He started talking about his back. He described the infusion procedure, insisting that Kristin should try it. Instead of responding, Kristin asked if Harvey was scared about the trial. He insisted he had nothing to be afraid of. Kristin tried being supportive, but sounded hesitant.
