Summary

"Centerless Universe" opens with the same quotes as other essays as the author says she tries to give people what they want. She wonders if it is possible to love someone if you do not understand them. Washuta includes a transcript from the court case of Jennie Davis. She is asked about the history of her people and their land and she says her people are poor because they have no land and are arrested for getting food.
