The BAD Men List is a symbol of the institutionalized misogyny that women face from men of power in the workplace. The list is a way for these professional women to share knowledge of men who have a history of harassment and therefore empower themselves through this awareness.

Truviv

Truviv symbolizes a company with a corporate, structured culture. Baker outlines the different levels of higher management and entry level jobs that the different characters have, which influences their feeling of authority, or lack thereof, at the company.

Breast pumping room

The breast pumping room is a symbol of a place where the women who work at Truviv can go to be transparent. Grace begins to see her time in the pumping room as an escape, where she can be in privacy and not worry about the expectations of being a new mother.
